Treason & plot

Yesterday I grabbed several cycling guides from the TfL information stand at one of the Tube stations:

Somewhat to my surprise, the "mayor's introduction" on the other side of the map featured Ken Livingston's photo and signature:

Too late... or too soon?

Late Tate

Today's late performance in Tate Britain was a good excuse to revisit the usual exhibition but without the usual crowds.

Late Tate JMW Turner at Tate

Maybe it was wine that made me sleepy and apathetic too soon (it seems to be a usual thing to serve alcohol on late events in museums, a tradition I truly admire), but apart from that I can't say I really experienced anything new from the performances themselves. "Define what art is by writing you thoughts down on this large sheet of paper, all together". Meh. Sometimes being creative turns into being creative in a predictable way.

I doubt that this is what "touch" was intended to mean:

Hogwarts Express platform

With its neighbour St. Pancras hotel recently reopened, King's Cross station is still under reconstruction being prepared for Olympics. The adjacent square is fenced to hide its controversial renovation as well, but this bit is by no doubts awesome:

It could have looked much better without all the scaffolding around, blending with the real environment, but even now everybody's smiling and queuing to take a photo. Clever idea.

Ping? Pong!

Just stopping by to reveal the truth:

Looks like Twitter is once again robbing Blogger of content. Will gather my thoughts and be back with something more informative soon.

Somebody in this city has got plenty of chalk

Yesterday we went to check for any traces of protests happened the previous day over tuition fees. Surprisingly, we have found almost nothing even in university areas (tagged walls don't count).

Still there was something unrelated but not very usual we stumbled upon near the UCL:

Yes, it's long so the text version is available in a video description on Vimeo.

The poet can be googled as well as his poems, but not that particular piece. Consider that a première publication.

Mind the gap

Looks like this ad was specially designed for Russians: this poem becomes enormously impressive for a person brought up on The Plum Stone by Leo Tolstoy.
